Abstract:The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of cognitive - behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (IPT) in reducing self- focused attention and fear of negative evaluation in patients with social anxiety. The study design pre-test - post-test in which 40 students with social anxiety disorder were selected and randomly assigned to either group CBT and IPT. Tools used in this study included the Structured Clinical Interview, the Focus of Attention Questionnaire (FAQ), the Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), and the Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale revised version (BFNE-II). Data were statistically analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis (MANCOVA). The results showed that there was no difference between the two psychotherapies in the improvement in self- focused attention and fear of negative evaluation. The findings of this study showed that both therapies are equally effective for self- focused attention and fear of negative evaluation in patients with social anxiety. Given that IPT is as effective as cognitive-behavior therapy in reducing the fear of negative evaluation and self-focused attention, it could be used to reduce the symptoms of social phobia, especially the fear of negative evaluation and self-focused attention.in situations where IPT is more efficacious, such as those with milder dysfunction in social and cognitive performance.

The relationship between countertransference and self-regulation process in Iranian psychotherapists Abstract Psychotherapy literature has always emphasized on the significance of self-knowledge, managing countertransference, and its application in all psychological situations. The goal of this article is to investigate the relationship between self-regulation processes and countertransference. 180 psychotherapists that have worked in Tehran voluntarily participated in this research and they completed the questionnaires. In order to investigate self-regulation three scales were used; Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), Integrative Self-Knowledge Scale (ISK), and Brief Self-Control Scale (BSC). Countertransference inventory (CI) was used to measure countertransference. Resulted data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and stepwise regression. Results revealed that integrative self-knowledge and self-control were negatively correlated with countertransference and self-knowledge moderates the relationship between self-control and countertransference. These results emphasize the importance of expanding conscious capacities and mindful control mechanisms in process of psychotherapy and other psychological interventions. Today mental health of staff is one of the concerns of the concerns of researchers and managers of departments and agencies. In this way it seems coping skills as ine of cognitive strategies bring healthy habits and prevent psychological and physical damage caused by stress. Research suggests that a person who knows of coping strategies and applys them properly his mental health will be guaranteed. Therefor the present study investigated the effectiveness of coping skills training on geraral health and self esteem of women employees in NAJA. Research methodology is pre experimental single group with pre test and post test. 15 female NAJA employees in Tehran who were available sample were trained in 10 session for coping skills. General health questionnaire and self esteem inventory of cooper smith were used to collect data. Also dependent test was used for analysis.

Executive functions describe as higher level processes that controlling and monitoring elementary (object) mental operations Neuroimaging studies have identified some of cortical areas involved in executive functions, frontal and prefrontal mostly. Because of these processing occur in a proportional second, those couldn’t be tested by traditional paper-pencil tools exactly. With introducing computers as a valuable tool for psychological and neuropsychological assessment, developing computerized version of tests to be extensive. Since according to researches, the wisconsin card sorting test is one of the most distinctive test for frontal and prefrontal executive functions, in present study, we effort to design and developing wisconsin computerized version based on a standard version.For differential validity, according to scores of Revised Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ-R), 2 groups including high anxiety (Anx+) and low anxiety (Anx-) were selected and performed computerized version of wisconsin. The results indicated that means of outputs differ in 2 groups. Also, cronbach’s alpha and split-half coefficients of computerized version showed that it has suitable reliability in Iranian subjects.
